COLOUR: Rich yellow with green shades.

BOUQUET: Persuasive, typical »chardonnay«, but we notice terroir of hot Istria. Green apple and peach, with hints of freshly cut grass and caramel.

TASTE: Intense, harmonious and buttery all at once.

AFTERTASTE: Long, rich and fresh.

At 110 meters altitude difference and in the corner between Koper and Trieste, in the idyllic Istrian village of Plavje, family Klenar cultivates 12 hectares of vineyards. The location offers excellent weather conditions for the care of well-known varieties: malvazija, chardonnaya, blue pine, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc and autochthonous refosco.

One of the most interesting logotypes of Slovenian winemakers is for sure Klen’art.

Yellow-golden frame is the sun, because without it there is no good wine.  Blue colour is sea, yellow is soil, violet is the colour of autochthonous variety refosco, red colour means blood and heart of the winemaker.
